Dieux Better for Your Skin and the Planet

The following campaign was produced for a midterm project in the Multimedia Content Creation for Brand Storytelling II (PR525) course through the USC Annenberg Public Relations and Advertising MA program.

For this project, I developed an original campaign to spotlight Dieux and highlight the brand’s commitment to environmental sustainability. The campaign positions Dieux as a leader in conscious skincare, setting it apart from other beauty brands by emphasizing transparency, eco-friendly practices, and products that care for both skin and the planet.

Campaign Elements: Out-of-home advertisements, social media advertisements, and a blog post.

Today, the global beauty industry is valued at $450 billion and is projected to grow at a 5% annual rate through 2030. With skincare comprising a major part of the beauty industry, we believe brands must make significant efforts and initiatives to help reduce the industry’s environmental impact. At 𝑫𝒊𝒆𝒖𝒙, our combination of innovative ingredient sourcing and thoughtful packaging improvements is a testament to this commitment. However, this is only the beginning for us, and we need the help of eco-conscious consumers like you. Every day you wake up is an opportunity to leave the world better than you found it. Keep reading and discover ways you can 𝑫𝒊𝒆𝒖𝒙 good by the planet.

🧴 𝑫𝒊𝒆𝒖𝒙 the Most with the Least

Some people say the smallest changes can make the biggest difference, and we agree. By applying this thinking to your skincare regimen, you can keep looking good while helping the planet feel good. Instead of reaching to purchase new products, consider only making a purchase when you use your existing products fully, even if it means tearing the packaging up to get the last drop.

💧 Save Water and 𝑫𝒊𝒆𝒖𝒙 Good

Water makes the world go ‘round, but fresh water is finite and can become effectively non-renewable if consumed faster than it replenishes. Talk about H2-NO! Consider taking shorter showers and turning off the tap when you’re cleansing. Scrub away all the impurities without any guilt! Plus, keep an eye out for products with low-water formulations. Every drop you save helps keep water flowing for everyone.

♻️ Re-𝑫𝒊𝒆𝒖𝒙-ce, Reuse, and Recycle

Instead of tossing your empties in the trash or recycling bin, consider how you can give them a second life. You can utilize jars and bottles for travel-size storage, DIY skincare treatments, or simple at-home organization. If you can’t think of another use for your empty container, we recommend recycling with Pact at Sephora. Pact is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making hard-to-recycle beauty and wellness packaging into sustainable solutions.

When it comes to sustainability, the possibilities are limitless. We hope that instead of feeling hopeless, you feel empowered to join us in making small yet powerful contributions every day. Together, we can 𝑫𝒊𝒆𝒖𝒙 good by the planet while keeping our skin glowing and guilt-free.
